I didn't think you could trust in a mechanic until I found Plantation Tune Tech. When I first arrived in Boise, I had a lot -- I mean, a LOT -- of automotive issues. All the members of Plantation Tune Tech (particularly my man Ed) are supportive, informative, friendly, and even sensitive to cost limitations. The day after I bought my '91 Chevy van, someone ran into me smashing one of my headlamps -- one of PTT's mechanics had an old extra and GAVE me one!!! I really cannot speak highly enough about these guys -- I would recommend them to absolutely anyone with any automotive needs.

My recent maintenance was performed in a very professional manner.........as usual. I recommend this company to one and all. Good communications and friendly advice are always there.

Plantation has maintained our vehicles for four years. They do good work and stand behind their service.

I took my vehicle in a couple weeks ago and asked for an inspection, for some repair items that I knew needed to be done. They quoted me over $2600 of repairs. What was strange is that several dealer service shops were lower and use OEM parts, not aftermarket. How is that? More than one dealer beat them on several routine maintenance items, in one case over $150 higher at Tune Tech than the dealer. Amazing. I continued to search around and found a local mechanic who did everything on the list for under $900, and yes his work was with warranty. To sum up: Positives - they got me in with short notice. Front office gentleman was very nice and funny. Cons - The Dealer beat them on every major repair cost quoted me. They may be local, but there is a difference between supporting local and being taken to the cleaners. Use at your own peril.

I love the guys at Tune Tech! They are friendly and have never tried to do more repairs than were needed. In fact, they always gave me various levels of repair options. They serviced my van for about 10 years and I was never dissatisfied with their work.
