Martin Johncox, with our Boise marketing and social media consulting firm Alexander and Associates, recently tried out a can of 44K in his 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan and here's his review.
"I tried out 44K on Plantation's recommendation. I was taking my van on a family vacation to California and bringing back with a small pickup in tow - a lot of work for a car with more than 150,000 miles on it. I added the 44K just as I filled up leaving town and I have to say I noticed an immediate increase in mileage. The boost in performance, however, wasn't apparent until I towed the Mazda pickup back home. The pickup and tow dolly totaled about 3,800 pounds, approaching the van's weight of 4,400 pounds. It was certainly the hardest workout my van ever got (the van does have an upgraded transmission cooler). Of course I had to use low gears but the engine never lacked for power and mileage was surprisingly good given the heavy load. I estimate my car did better than 23 mpg going there and 16 mpg coming back, about a 10 percent improvement over what I'd expect. I'm not too much of a car expert and I'd never used a fuel additive before, but I think the 44K really cleared out the carbon and gunk, giving my engine all the power available for the hard trip back. I can say that in my case, 44K worked as advertised. I'd recommend getting the bottle as the can is a little harder to pour into the tank without a funnel."
